Harmala Gupta

 

Mrs Harmala Gupta is the Founder-President of CanSupport – India’s largest free home-based palliative care programme that she initiated in collaboration with AIIMS in 1996. She is also the Founder-President of Cancer Care India and on the Board of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute. She is a fellow of the Union for International Cancer Control in Geneva.

Mrs Gupta is a cancer survivor and an internationally acclaimed social activist. She is the recipient of numerous National and International awards and honours notable being the "Healthcare Humanitarian Award" by FICCI, Lifetime Achievement Award by Cancer Care India, the Medallion of the Governor General of Canada and an award for outstanding contribution to social service instituted by the PHDCCI, from the President of India.
